Medicare Locals are at the forefront of change in primary care as part of the Australian Government’s exciting health reform. Established on 1 July 2011, our mandate is to drive improvement in primary healthcare and the coordination of service delivery to better meet the local health needs of communities across Brisbane North and the Moreton Bay regions.
Working alongside government, non-government and community-based health organisations, we have a key role in health service planning. Our teams provide direct support to health professionals to help them to provide quality care to their community.
Our portfolio is diverse, including e-health, mental health, community and health provider liaison, chronic disease support and educational services, Indigenous health and after hours care.
The Medicare Local is currently recruiting for passionate and experienced professionals, to join our Lutwyche and North Lakes teams.
